[Food] Nihonkai Japanese Restaurant @ Jalan Klang Lama

 Coming from Midvalley Megamall towards Old Klang road, there is a Japanese cuisine on the left road side, just after Kee Hing Tyre with big Michelin Tyre logo on signboard.

The price is reasonably cheaper than most other restaurants in the town, but the quality of the food should have put the restaurant to a upper standard. It is advised to reserve the place to avoid long queue.

A must try is their fresh and juicy Sashimi dishes. 

Mixed sashimi (RM 58), 

look at the thickness of the slices and the juicy texture, how tempting. 

Nigiri Sushi (RM 58)

Teppanyaki salmon (RM 21), 

the fish dishes are usually well-seasoned.

Ebi Tenpura Maki (RM 17), 

such a big roll in this price.

Soft Shell Crab Maki (RM28),

so satisfying!

Agedashi tofu (RM 8), 

the only set back is this tofu, not as experted which is not crispy at the outer layer.

[Food] Kissaten @Jaya One, PJ

Kissaten means Japanese old-style cafe serving hot tea as well as the sweets and coffee. However, this Kissaten at Jaya One is serving more than just the mentioned drinks, but also a variety of food from pizzas, burgers, spaghetti, ramens to katsu don.

It is located at the second floor in the Palm Square area at Jaya One. 

During weekdays, there is promotion and discount for the food. 

The famous menu is their ramen and Udon.

But we just want to try something different, end up with this big portion of dish. 

Pork Burger steak spaghetti (RM 23),

the summary of the dish = pork layer from the burger + spaghetti

Azuki Pancake (RM 7),

it is worth trying as an after-meal dessert. Azuki = small bean,

I love the red bean filling as it is not too sweet, matching with the crispy pancake layer.

A random try of the cake, not bad.

The environment, good place for chitchat.

[Food] Murni Discovery @Bukit Jalil

The famous mamak-style restaurant, Murni Discovery, has come to Bukit Jalil! 

Murni has been a very popular mamak at SS2, Petaling Jaya. Nowadays, there is more choices of the menu with relatively economic price ranges. 

Not to mention the food is never failed to be generously big portion, the staffs at Bukit Jalil here are more friendly and fast-responsing, and they have a set of software to take the order and billing, amazed me alot!

[Food] Madame Waffle @IOI City Mall

There is a new premium outlet of Madame Waffle in IOI City Mall. Such a great news for waffle lovers who stay nearby to the mall like me! 

Combo set 4 contained a dark chocolate waffle and a hot chocolate drink. The dark chocolate waffle is a must-try, which the dark-chocolate is certainly a source of good-quality chocolate.

Flat White coffee, it is the BEST coffee that I can get in the mall!

The peanut butter crunch is the waffle combining peanut butter + banana + chocolate. Adding also slices of fresh fruits like strawberries and blueberries, the desserts is mouth-washing and yet not sickly sweet. I love this combination so much! There are other 3 of premium combo sets.

Freshly baked hand-tossed Napoletana pizza

What's so special about their pizza? It is the cooking method where the pizza dough is putting into a 500'C high temp oven for a few minutes. And then, it is ready to serve. Huh, such a fast meal! 

But the way of cooking is good for preserving the softness of the hand-tossed dough while creating a crunchy taste at the surface. The toppings are including the choices of quality fresh food such as beef bacon, roast duck, spinach, basil leaves, cherry tomatoes, which give us a satisfactions of savory meal. 

Thanks for having the only vegetarian's choice - Marghenta pizza. 

Marghenta ( Cherry tomatoes, Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese) - Medium RM 21.90

For non-vegetarian, there is plenty of pizza available either in the traditional round shape or in the oral shape.

Basil Pasta House is a cozy and warmly-deco restaurant which serving variety of pastas, some with innovative east-west fusion dishes. Their food contains a lot of natural ingredients such as sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil, basil, garlic, chili flake, pork bacon, Parmesan cheese...with sincere culinary and relatively fair price range.

Served very good as an appetizer.

It's a seafood spaghetti.

Tasted nice with riches of spices and chili flakes.

Fusion of curry sauce and spaghetti. It's the favorite of my parents.

My parents' favourite too. They love the combination of salmon and lemon.

Soft Shell Crab Risotto - RM 26.90

My parents are not really into it, but the soft shell crab is definitely an add-mark to this dish.

very impressive from my parents again.

A thoughtful corner, take care of the double parking problems in the noon. But there is no such an issue at night after office hour and weekends.
